A Crown Jewels-inspired Setting for the Holidays

Growing up there was nothing more luxurious than gemstones, especially the crown jewels meant for royalty. Maybe it was my fantasy of becoming a princess or the luster and hues that intrigued me, but when I saw this lovely tablescape on the pages of Southern Lady’s Holiday issue, my inner schoolgirl was giddy with excitement. This lovely holiday table setting is infused with a pitch-perfect blend of crown jewel elegance, glamour, and sparkle.

I would love to spend an evening toasting the end of a year well spent and the promise of new beginnings at a table decked in jewel-tone finery. Luminous sapphire, rich garnet, and radiant amethyst shimmer in the soft glow of candlelight—all the richer for the notes of glistening gold sprinkled throughout.

The evening would be a magical mix of close friends and family mingling in a medley of fanciful china. The intricate patterns beautifully play against vibrant colors, enhanced by a handful of eye-catching faux jewels. Freeform polka dots dance along individual dessert cups, while vintage silver lends a hint of patina to balance out the gleam. Brilliant blooms such as peonies, lisianthus, hydrangeas, and tulips, paired with bright green amaranthus leaves, spill from simple golden vessels.

The buffet holds a wintertime array of miniature trees, geometric candles, and beautifully wrapped gifts to welcome guests. While surrounded by your loved ones this holiday season, remember just how rich with love you are!
