Hostess Gifts for the Holidays!

Phyllis Inspiration, Lifestyle 5 Comments

We all kick into hyperdrive during the holidays. There are triple the errands, triple the meals, and triple the “projects,” as we call them in the South. Yet, we just miraculously keep going! Any other time of year, this number of to-dos would seem nearly impossible. In fact, we probably wouldn’t even attempt the insanity. But in these couple of months we not only embrace the hustle and bustle, we count down the days until it begins!

I think the reason we accomplish this feat year after year is because our energy is ultimately directed at serving others and giving. It is always easier to keep up our energy when our efforts are others-oriented. And that is what makes the holidays so magical. That is why, year after year, we never tire of the festivities, food, and family fun! We get a chance to spend our time and recourses on creating warm experiences for those we love most.

One of the boxes to check on your holiday list just might be finding the perfect hostess gift! Expressing gratitude when people kindly open their home is quintessentially Christmas and traditional to Southern ways! I don’t know about you, but I usually set my mind on one item or theme that I adore, and I make it that year’s go-to hostess gift. That way it’s a one-and-done deal!

Today through Thursday, we are offering a fabulous deal on our Tiny Books Collection—3 books for $30! Books are always a wonderful gift idea! For one, it is something that the recipient will revisit time and time again. And you can always write an inscription in the front. That way the recipient remembers the event and your friendship.

If you’re looking for a few hostess gifts this season, take advantage of this deal, and mix and match to your heart’s content! And if not, I hope you enjoyed this post and are inspired to keep embracing the joys of holiday giving!

  1. The Christmas dishes are lovely! What a fun time you must have had painting your dishes. I am sure they will be beautiful.
Thank you for a chance to win some.

  2. I ordered two of the new Slow Cooker cookbooks for Christmas gifts. I will be including a monogrammed apron and matching pot holder with each book.
I ordered from Edgar’s Bakery today. You introduced us to this business at a Southern Lady Conference. Another connection made by ladies attending your company sponsored conference. Thank you and please consider holding another conference soon.

  3. Thank you for giving us all a wonderful idea for hostess gifts. I usually have a few on hand throughout the year, depending on the occasion but have actually never thought of bringing books. Paired with a baking item of some sort, like a seasonal spatula, baking dish etc….this is really a lovely gift.
