Blue Willow Tablescape with Jennifer Carroll

Jennifer Carroll, an event planner of 20 years and a mother on one, has kindly shared her easy fall tablescape design for any gathering, big or small with me. Jennifer has loved planning and playing “hostess” from the time she was a little girl. When it comes to party planning, she believes in keeping it simple.

In her lovely “Blue Willow” tablescape, Jennifer blends blue-and-white porcelain dishes with decorative accents in earthy tones of red and orange. As y’all know, I love blue and white dishes, but transitioning them into fall can be a challenge. Jennifer’s combination creates a unique vignette that radiates the warm feeling of fall.

For the place setting, Jennifer layers her traditional Blue Willow china with Lace Edge Milk Glass plates to break things up. To bring her dishes into fall, Jennifer places a miniature pumpkin on top of the orange ribbon an easy finish. For a special touch, she has also embellished the plain white napkins with her monogram in a bold blue, using her embroidery machine.

For the table’s centerpiece, Jennifer aims for a “collected” look. She did not have a container large enough to make a statement on its own, so she gathered an assortment of complementary pieces that blend beautifully to create interest but that do not overwhelm the scene.

Any and everyone can accomplish Jennifer’s beautiful fall tablescape design! I just love her easy approach to celebrating with friends and family.
