  1. Gorgeous skirt and gillet. Totally fab!Wow you are hard core being able to brave bare arms in the cold conditions that we have had! My sister used to be able to wrap her legs around her neck years ago, not so sure she could now though. I think you have lovely looking arms! I hate displaying mine even in summer!MBB x

  2. I love your jasmine flowers. Does this uncle work for FIRE service. He is wearing a FIRE truck colored shirt and he decorated the whole kitchen in RED. You took so much pains to cook and uncle ended up eating without offering any to you. That is not nice.

  3. Hello I am so delighted I found your site, I really found you by accident, while I was researching on Digg for something else, Nonetheless I am here now and would just like to say thanks for a incredible post and a all round entertaining blog (I also love the theme/design), I don’t have time to read it all at the minute but I have book-marked it and also added in your RSS feeds, so when I have time I will be back to read more, Please do keep up the superb job.

  4. Oh my that is one of my dish sets, and my my name, how sweet just fun accents for a fabulous lunch, or early dinner.

  5. Hi Phyllis, I’m a place card fanatic, I have many that represent Christmas themes, also in the fall I always use those miniature pumpkins, then guests take them home as a memory of our time together! I have miniature chalk boards and in fun lettering do their names that go on miniature easels and also I take old photos of times past of family and friends, cut out their faces and frame their faces on small frame stands. That’s always a hit and good conversation of times gone by. My Mom had those plates when I was growing up and your Journal today brought back many fond memories. With that lemon place card I would serve a Lemon bunt cake or Lemon pie for dessert!…..I love the Ribbons in your journal…Lets eat! lol, Carmeld

  6. Phyllis, this is always such a gracious idea. Nothing makes your guests feel more welcome than to see their name carefully written on a beautiful place card. I love the lemons ( with your favorite Blue & White), I’ve also used apples and artichokes on my tables for a lovely place card holder.

  7. Love the blue and yellow together. I guess you’d have to laminate the card so that the juice won’t creep up the card and get it soggy and/or run the ink? Nice, inexpensive way to make a place setting fancy.
