The Ribbon in My Journal – Phyllis Hoffman DePiano

The Undoing of Saint Silvanus by Beth Moore

I have read and studied Beth Moore’s books for years and find her to be a gifted Bible study author and teacher. She is a resource in the world of Christian women—millions collect and study her books. She lives in Houston, Texas, where she leads Living Proof Ministries with the purpose of teaching women how to love and live on God’s Word.

I can remember a time in my life when her words and insight into the scriptures made a dramatic difference. All women who study her works know she is the real thing! She is a dedicated wife and mother, with two adult daughters and three delightful grandchildren. She is not only beautiful outside but inside as well.

So what is Beth up to now? Well, I have exciting news! She has written her first work of fiction, The Undoing of Saint Silvanus. It releases today! I was so excited to receive a copy to read—Beth grabs you from the first paragraph, and you find yourself right in the middle of a mysterious situation.

The setting is New Orleans, where Jillian Slater, her main character, finds herself back home for a family funeral—the funeral of her father in fact. Needless to say they were not close, and Jillian had not seen him or her grandmother in over 20 years. From the time she got on the airplane, she thought of turning back. What was she doing? Why had her grandmother’s landlord paid for her to come back to New Orleans? After all, she was happy in Houston and had disconnected from all of the past. What made her finally go through with this?

During the investigation of her father’s death, Jillian is drawn into the lives of “saints and sinners” that pass through Saint Silvanus. The mystery is in the family’s past, as Jillian finds out from the web of spiritual and personal danger her return has led her into. Jillian even thinks her family may be cursed! How will God work in this situation?

This is a must-read for all Beth Moore fans and those who love a great book. Published by Tyndale House Publishers, this will be another best seller for Beth Moore.

Now, more good news—you have an opportunity to win one of five autographed copies of this first edition! I will choose five winners Thursday, September 27th at 9:00 a.m. Good Luck!
