Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope you all are having a wonderful Valentine’s Day spending time with your loved ones. Valentine’s Day is such a happy time to celebrate the people in your life who really mean the most. It’s not just about the flowers and chocolate; it’s truly taking time to recognize all the things your loved ones do for you.

Stop and smell the roses—that phrase comes to my mind today. Please stop and take time to think about those meaningful people in your life. Time is so precious, and we should all cherish every moment we get to spend with those who brighten our days and lives. One of my favorite books, Bouquets of Love, features more than 125 colorful inspiring and uplifting illustrations and photographs. What a perfect Valentine’s gift for a loved one!

Thank you so much for all the comments and thoughts you share on Ribbon. I appreciate all of you who follow my posts and couldn’t be more grateful! For a special Valentine’s Day treat, we’re marking down all special issues (*excluding current 2018 issues) for The Cottage Journal, Victoria, and Southern Home magazines. Until the end of February, order all previous special issues for these magazines for ONLY $5. Shop online at our Hoffman Media Online Store.

Happy shopping and much love to you all!

  1. On Valentine’s Day 2011, my Mom went to get her mail and said, “I didn’t get any Valentine’s Day cards”.
My heart sank and I drove over to the Hallmark store and bought her a teddy bear, gourmet malted milk balls, and 3 cards.
I came home and made dinner for us and gave her the gifts and cards and she was so happy!
That was our last Valentine’s Day together as she passed away in May that year.
I cherish the time we had together!!!

  2. My husband works from home and each morning before I go to work he sets out breakfast for me. He also packs my lunches. It’s one way he shows his love and it is very much appreciated.

I wish you all a very Happy Valentine’s day!

  3. Happy Valentine’s Day to all. My favourite memory is getting a heart shaped box of chocolates every year from my dad. It was an extra special day at our house because it was also my brother’s birthday. And although I now have a family of my own and a wonderful husband to celebrate Valentine’s Day with, what I would give for one more box of chocolates from my sweet father, who has since passed away.

  4. I realize how very special a true love is! I have been married 43 years and my beloved

brought home a heart shaped mini cake and cream sherry for our celebration of each other

today! How lucky we are to have love in our lives. Love to all

    1. Mary, you are so fortunate to have had 43 years with your husband. I pray you will have many more. This would have been our 43 rd wedding anniversary too. We were married 02/14/75. I lost him to cancer almost 5 years ago and miss him so very much. God bless both of you. Sharon

  5. Valentines is very special to me and my husband. It is the day that I told him that I Loved Him. He had told me months before but I believed that when you said you loved someone, you would marry that person. True to my belief, we did marry and have been happy in love for 52 years. So this day, I celebrate the love of my life.

  6. Your magazines are beautiful. I enjoy them immensely. “Victoria” is my favorite. I have kept some of the original issues including the first one ever sold.
    HAPPY ST. VALENTINE’S DAY

  7. I was born on Valentine’s Day 1950. After an unwanted divorce, I married my second husband on Valentine’s Day 1990, which was also my fortieth birthday. Today we celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary, and our life is happier than ever! Tonight, although she doesn’t know it yet, our oldest granddaughter’s boyfriend is planning to propose to her. WE LOVE VALENTINE’S DAY!!!

  8. Happy Valentines Day to you also.
    I love all your magazines.
Please keep showing us pictures of your new home.
Love these Ribbons in My Journal.

  9. Wishing you and yours a special February 14th. I enjoy your magazines. They are a treat to read.
    HAPPY ST. VALENTINE’S DAY
    Joan
